We stopped for lunch in Coimbra on our way to Oporto, so we didn't have too much time to look around. It was also a Sunday, so there wasn't much we could see anyway. Without a tour guide of any sort, we wandered around the lower town. Above are Largo da Portagem, one of the many churches, an example of the narrow and winding streets, and the bridge over the Mondego.

This was my first attempt at panoramas with my camera. These were taken from the end of the bridge over the Mondego opposite Coimbra. They show the full view of Coimbra and the Mondego. The building jutting out from the shore in the picture on the right is a geladeria.
